The sensor does not have an actual conductivity rating, but if the water has been treated to some level of distillation and is low on ions, the FloodStop Controller has a sensitivity adjustment on it, which can make it more sensitive.

If the water has been treated to a level of distillation in which the water is extremely low on ions or considered de-ionized (no ions), the solution would be to put the FloodStop Sensor inside a sock along with an aspirin. If you tape the aspirin to the sensor and water is introduced, the aspirin will dissolve and introduce ions to the water (making it conductive) and allow the FloodStop sensor perform as desired.
